Quite good!

I almost never leave product reviews, but this futon mattress is FANTASTIC. It’s much lighter than the old futon of my university years, but still extremely comfortable and firmly supports two people. We are using this futon in our camper van and we love it! The lime green mattress fabric was so retro-cool we bought the additional mattress cover in the same color as the cover of the mattress itself is not removable or washable. So happy with this futon!!

Well made and lovely material. Comfortable to sit on but not used yet for sleeping. Very helpful when I got in touch about lead times for ordering. Stored mattress until ready.

Years ago I had a double futon mattress, cotton filled. It was a lot firmer and heavier than this wool filled one. We've been using the Sit and Sleep one on the futon bed for a while now and are very happy with it. It is softer, but perfectly comfortable and you don't sink into it too much. The lighter weight is also good for us now that we are older: it makes turning it much easier. The mattress is very well made and the sage green covering so beautiful its a shame to put sheets on it.

I recommend. This Original Futon Mattress is superb. The one teeny bit of synthetic/plastic on it is the zip which Sit and Sleep point out is a mandatory manufacturing requirement. It's well made, comfortable, and surprisingly lightweight: seeming much lighter than the cotton one I had years ago. If you want a synthetic free alternative to modern mattresses and can't afford/justify natural rubber or horsehair I don't think you can do better than this. It'll also adapt for seating: obviously!

Bought this for our narrow boat for the seating and occasional bed. Have only just put on board so still needs to take shape. Delighted with the quality.

We love the futon, however I am more used to firmer one. I think time will help to firm it down.
